Missouri Girls Town Admissions Information

Missouri Girls Town Foundation, Inc. provides residential care for adolescent girls between the ages of eight and 21 who are in need of a therapeutic structured living environment to address emotional and behavioral disorders. Within the State of Missouri Guidelines, Missouri Girls Town is licensed to provide services for Care Levels III and IV, Transitional Living, Structured and Unstructured Scatter-site apartments, Day Treatment Services

Client referrals are accepted from the following:

Department of Social Services: Children’s Division
Department of Social Services: Adoption Subsidy
Department of Mental Health
Division of Youth Services
Juvenile Offices/Courts
Contracted State Agencies Private Placement

The Admissions Coordinator, Program Director, Counselors, Lead Youth Professional/Youth Specialist, School Liaison and Campus Nurse will review the referral packet. Acceptance to Missouri Girls Town will be based on: the services provided by Missouri Girls Town, available openings, information provided by the Legal Guardian/referral source, compatibility with the program, urgent needs and any additional information acquired from the pre-placement visits. If an opening is unavailable, the client will be placed on a waiting list.

Missouri Girls Town will continue contact with the Legal Guardian or family to keep them apprised of the next available opening. The Admissions Coordinator will notify the referral source by phone within forty-eight hours of receiving the referral packet if the client is qualified for the program. Pre-placement visits will be offered to qualifying clients, family and Legal Guardian. Upon acceptance, an admission date and time will be scheduled between the hours of 9am and 5pm Monday through Friday. Written correspondence of acceptance/ denial will also be provided to the Legal Guardian and family, if applicable. If client has been denied, referral sources will be provided upon request.
